If you are on your own, then you need to be able to market your services well. I have one process I like to follow that helps me position myself and services in a positive and productive way.
It’s common for us to have websites that talk about our service offerings. All coaches have that. What they often don’t have though is content that backs up their offerings.
The content can be in the form of blog posts, podcast episodes, videos, e-books, infographics, and so forth. It’s important to support your website visitor with more than just text explaining what you do along with a link to your calendar to schedule a consultation. This is where the content comes in.
Your visitor wants to know what you offer and learn what you know. This is why I not only express that I help leaders become more effective by implementing emotional intelligence competencies into their work, but also have a series of blog posts that go deeper than a service offering web page will ever go.
If my visitor takes the time to read through the blog posts, they’ll get an impression that I know what I’m talking about and may be more likely to reach out for coaching services.
So, bottom line: create helpful content that supports your services to get visitors to stay on your site longer and gain a stronger understanding of your knowledge.
